You know, if you squint hard enough, you could see strapping, dark-haired freshman Michael Jacobson, wearing a Nebraska basketball throwback jersey with the script "Huskers" across the front, intentionally mistake him for Beau Reid, and smile.
“I had a few people say that to me,” Reid said, laughing. “He kind of does have a similar frame that I had, you know?”
Reid, who lives in Lincoln and played for Nebraska from 1988-91, could easily reminisce when these young, new-look Huskers donned partial replica uniforms from his career, one that ended with a 26-8 record and No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
