JOURNAL STAR FILE PHOTOCarlos Polk, a Husker linebacker in the late 1990s, was named assistant special teams coach with the Dallas Cowboys on Friday, according to an ESPN report.
Polk spent the past five seasons working in a similar job with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He is familiar with the Cowboys organization, though, having played the final of his eight-year professional career there. He spent the first seven with the San Diego Chargers, where he was a fourth-round draft pick in 2001.
