It was about a half-hour after the last of the seconds had melted away from the 2016 Husker football season. Danny Langsdorf had fielded questions about the trouble spots of the day, and the season, when the conversation turned to the upcoming decision on who should be next in taking the keys to the car.
Also known as the quarterback competition between junior Tanner Lee and redshirt freshman Patrick O'Brien and, sure, let's mention expected early enrollee Tristan Gebbia in that conversation about the Husker QB future as well.
"I think that will be a great battle — starting today," Langsdorf said.
