The Nebraska football and rifle programs were honored by the NCAA on Wednesday with public recognition for high achievement in the Academic Progress Rate (APR). Both programs were among the top 10 percent nationally among all squads in their respective sport.
The APR public recognition for the Nebraska football program is another honor for a program long-recognized as one of the nation’s top achieving teams on and off the field. The Huskers were one of just 14 Football Bowl Subdivision programs to earn the recognition, including five schools from the Big Ten Conference. Nebraska received the distinction for the second consecutive year.
