Two of the four weekly volleyball awards for the Big Ten Conference went to Nebraska players this week, with Mikaela Foecke earning the player of the week award, and setter Nicklin Hames the freshman of the week award.
In wins against Iowa and Michigan last week Foecke averaged 5.00 kills per set on a .413 hitting percentage. She also contributed 16 digs, 10 blocks and two ace serves.
This is the third time in her career when she’s been the Big Ten player of the week.
Hames helped the Huskers have a .333 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win at Iowa, and finished with 30 assists and 17 digs.
