Hopefully none of you were hit with the nasty storms in the southeast part of the state last night. It was quite a show up here in the northeast with lightning almost non-stop. A few recent rains have eased the dry conditions, making the farm community much happier.
It is also the time of year where I swear, every year, that I don't need to plant so many tomatoes. I used to plant around 40 of them but our soil was so poor that the yields were still pretty manageable. Thanks to "Operation Cow Manure" that has changed.
