Granted, it won't attract nearly as much attention as a head coach making a game-time decision on a starting quarterback.
Nevertheless, Nebraska offensive line coach Greg Austin has his own critical situation to sort out at center this week as the team prepares to play 16th-ranked Wisconsin.
Husker senior center Cole Conrad is practicing this week after leaving last Saturday's 42-28 loss to Purdue in the second quarter with an apparent knee injury. According to Austin, Conrad split first-string repetitions in Wednesday's practice with fellow senior Tanner Farmer, who slid to center in place of Conrad against the Boilermakers from his usual starting spot at right guard.
