For a third straight day, Wisconsin was the better team at the plate, on the base paths and in the circle. The Badgers completed a three-game sweep of NU with an 11-2 win in six innings Sunday in front of 1,009 fans at Bowlin Stadium.
Nebraska (30-20, 8-11 Big Ten), which was swept at Minnesota last week, has lost six straight, and the Huskers have been outscored 49-9 during that stretch.
Wisconsin turned to Haley Hestekin in the fifth inning. The freshman right-hander was strong Friday and Saturday, but the Huskers found success against her Sunday. Back-to-back hits plated NU's first run, on an interference call, and freshman Sarah Yocom, who finished with two hits, followed with an RBI single to left field.
