Alex Gordon will probably want to quickly put his 2017 offensive struggles behind him.
But as Tuesday's revealing of the Gold Glove winners proved, the Lincoln Southeast graduate can still work the glove.
Gordon, the Kansas City Royals' left fielder, was named an American League Gold Glove winner for a fifth time in his career. Only Frank White has won more Gold Gloves in franchise history.
According to Fan Graphs, Gordon led all left fielders in defensive runs above average.
The ex-Husker continued to make some incredible catches in left field. Gordon also won Gold Gloves with the Royals from 2011-14.
