The Nebraska softball team broke out of an offensive lull with a 12-hit showing in a 7-4 win against St. John's in the Mary Nutter Classic on Saturday in Cathedral City, California.
Alyvia Simmons and Kaylan Jablonski each went 3-for-4, and Jablonski and Tristen Edwards each homered. Madi Unzicker and Gina Metzler had two hits apiece.
Olivia Ferrell improved to 4-0 in the circle, working around eight hits in five innings. Jablonski earned her fourth save of the season.
The Huskers (10-4) trailed 3-2 in the second inning before plating five runs in the bottom half of the frame.
