Driving for 6: Armstrong named Big Ten offensive player of the week

His 13-yard touchdown run with 7:17 remaining proved to be the winning score as Nebraska rallied from a seven-point halftime deficit. Armstrong had a hand in all three Husker touchdowns, as he moved into a tie with Eric Crouch for the most total touchdowns in school history (90).

Armstrong’s performance against the Golden Gophers came in his 43rd career start, which tied a school record for quarterback starts. His toughness was on full display as he twice had to leave the game due to injury, and his availability to even play in the game was in question until game day after going through the week in concussion protocol.
