Nebraska place-kicker Drew Brown was named one of 30 candidates for the 2017 Senior CLASS Award in college football on Thursday.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I FBS senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.
On the field, Brown was named to the Lou Groza Award Watch List as well as the Wuerffel Trophy Watch List prior to the 2016 and 2017 seasons. The Southlake, Texas, native is a two-time All-Big Ten pick, earning honorable-mention accolades in 2016 and second-team honors in 2015.
