The drought is over and perhaps the big finishing kick just arrived, as defensive back Tony Butler on Thursday announced his commitment to a Husker program looking to make a significant run on recruits over the next two weeks.
Butler thanked fans, family, friends and coaches that have supported him on a video taped by Scout.com, then pulled out a Husker hat and placed it atop his head.
He is the 16th commitment in Nebraska's 2016 recruiting class, and the first since Nov. 28.
"Football-wise, he just has every kind of tool you wound want in terms of a cover guy," said Butler's high school coach, Tom Lombardo.
