Daniel Davie Gets Second NFL Life With Tampa Bay

The former Nebraska football player had gone undrafted after this year’s NFL draft, but he was soon signed by the Colts. Just as the team was getting ready to start training camp, it cut the cornerback.

Over the course of his career as a Husker, Davie appeared in 42 games and made 18 starts. Most of those were in the same year. 2014 was the best year of his career as he started all 13 games that season.

247Sports points out he defended five passes and made two interceptions in 2014. Poised to be one of the leaders on the defense last season, struggles in grasping the new schemes and injuries largely derailed his senior season.
