The College Football Hall of Fame released the candidates for the 2019 class with three Huskers being considered. Voting will take place this month, with the honorees being announced on Monday, January 7 prior to the College Football National Championship game.
The Husker nominees are:
Eric Crouch. The former Husker quarterback won the 2001 Heisman Trophy award and finished his career as the all-time leader in NCAA football for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with 59.
Larry Jacobson. The former defensive tackle was a consensus first-team all-American and Outland Trophy winner for the 1971 National Champions
Zach Wiegert.
