Nebraska dropped a close contest to Creighton Tuesday night 4-3, falling on a walk-off single by Brett Murray. Nebraska falls to 22-11 on the season while Creighton improves to 21-7 on the season. The Creighton win breaks a streak of seven straight wins by the Huskers in the series against the Bluejays.
Nebraska and Creighton would each receive solid pitching performances from their starters. Derek Burkamper would give up one run in five innings of work. Burkamper would receive an early lead thanks to Jake Meyers doubling in the second and scoring on a Luis Alvarado single.
Creighton would answer in the fourth scoring a single run on a triple and a sacrifice fly to even the score.
