The Husker softball team played its first of two intrasquad scrimmages Thursday afternoon where Team Cream outscored Team Scarlet 13-6 in a five-inning game at Bowlin Stadium.
There was plenty of offense in the game as the teams combined for 19 runs and 14 hits. Every inning started with at least one runner on base, aiding the offensive output. For the Scarlet, freshman Ava Bredwell and senior Cam Ybarra led the way, both with a 2-for-3 day.
For the Cream, sophomore Billie Andrews recorded a 2-for-3 day with two runs scored and three RBIs out of the leadoff spot.
