The flight home from Arizona, assuming the weather allows them to get out of Phoenix tonight, will be full of Cornhusker baseball players with a bad taste in their mouths after a lack luster performance against Grand Canyon today.
Nebraska started the day where they left off last night against San Diego State, jumping all over freshman Gunner Penzkover, who was making his first college appearance. Cayden Brumbaugh greeted the rookie with a single, swiped second base, and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Two batters later, he scored on an infield RBI by Dylan Carey. Case Sanderson doubled in the inning as well, but was left stranded at second.
