Eight Huskers will be competing in the Tokyo Olympics beginning this weekend. This continues a streak of 17 consecutive summer Olympics dating back to 1956 where Huskers have appeared in the quadrennial event. In total, Huskers have earned a total 50 Olympic medals, including 12 Gold Medals, 13 Silver Medals and 25 Bronze Medals. At the Summer Olympics, Huskers have won 47 medals, including 11 Gold Medals, 11 Silver Medals and 25 Bronze Medals.

Tominaga hails from Moriyama, Japan and will compete in the 3X3 basketball tournament before joining the Nebraska men’s basketball team this fall.
