The Nebraska football team took the first significant step out of the muck of mediocrity that has hung over the program. A bowl win - in a one-score game nonetheless - and winning season is the first real progress we’ve seen in a while.
So, what is next? What are the expectations for next year?
The defense is being gutted to graduation, transfer and coaching changes. However, there are some really good pieces to work with (yes, I’m looking at you Vincent Shavers!) The offense has its QB and offensive coordinator.
