The Husker women got a road win in New Jersey, however it came with bad news. Nebraska has lost another player to a season-ending knee injury. In addition to Natalie Potts, who was hurt during an early non-conference game, Allison Weidner was hurt in practice on Saturday. Matt Coatney described the knee injury as “significant” and “serious”.
You may recall that Weidner has already worked her way back from two season-ending knee injuries, making this the third one in three seasons. She has been a starter and a team leader.
