Memphis, Tenn. - The Nebraska Rifle team is in fifth place after the first day of the GARC Championships, hosted by Memphis. The nine teams competing at the championships all shot only in the smallbore discipline today, with air rifle to follow tomorrow.
The Huskers had two shooters make the smallbore final round, capturing first and third place. Emily Cheramie won the day with the highest individual overall smallbore score, with a total finals score of 460.2. Macey Way took third overall individually with a total finals score of 442.1. Mary Tucker of Kentucky placed second.
