The turnovers always are brought up first when it comes to that Black Friday game, and that's only right, since Nebraska had four and Iowa had none.
But from the view of Mark Banker, that bitter Husker defeat also serves as a tidy summation of the ailment he felt most affected his defense in 2015.
Truth be told, Nebraska's second-year defensive coordinator sees the problem no matter what piece of film from last season he's analyzing — "explosive plays" always popping up to ruin his viewing pleasure.
"No matter what the cut-up is, whether it's a cut-up of a coverage, a front, a particular call … you look at it, golly, there's minus-yardage plays, there's zeroes, there's 1s, there's 2s, and then all of a sudden right in the middle of it, there's one for 42 (yards),” Banker says.
