The two-time first-team All-American and two-time Big 12 defensive player of the year holds the school career record to tackles for loss with 58½ for 260 yards and is second with 26½ sacks. He became NU's fourth Lombardi Award winner in 1997. Wistrom was a two-time first-team Academic All-American and became the 13th Husker to win the NCAA's highest honor, the NCAA Top Eight Award, in 1997.
