Butler Basketball Assistant Michael Lewis Coming to Nebraska

Nebraska's yearly search for an assistant basketball coach is over for the 2016-17 season with the hiring of Michael Lewis of Butler. The Butler assistant mens basketball coach has been picked up by the Huskers to replace Phil Beckner who left Nebraska after 8 months on the job to take a similar position at Boise State.

It was a quick pickup for a team that will need the help of an assistant over the summer.

Lewis has spent the last five years as an assistant for the Bulldogs. They made the NCAA Tournament three out of the five years he was there.
