Nebraska coach Mike Riley said Wednesday he is "not close" to naming a safeties coach to replace Brian Stewart.
While there were reports earlier in the day saying former Husker Daniel Bullocks is likely to get the job, Riley said only that the interview process has started.
"We're interviewing a guy today; the first one," Riley said Wednesday during his nearly 40-minute signing day press conference. "I don't want to put anybody on edge by saying this is the day we're going to announce, but we have started it and I will add to that, the sooner the better for everybody.
