Last winter the Nebraska men’s and women’s basketball programs caused a stir for a few months when both teams were living on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament.
Every game felt like it might be make-or-break. Not only were fans watching Nebraska’s games, but also the other teams on the bubble. Bracketologists got hate mail from Husker fans. The women’s team ended up getting in, while the men came up short.
It was exciting, and it was stressful. And what it made me think about was the Nebraska volleyball program, and the consistent success of the five-time national champion program.
