BREAKING: Dana Holgorsen To Assume Huskers’ Play-Calling Duties (Updated 1:08PM CST)

(UPDATE: Scroll down for additional quotes with more details from Monday’s press conference.)

Effective immediately, former West Virginia and Houston head coach Dana Holgorsen will assume play-calling duties for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Current offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield, who Coach Rhule said “humbled himself” to do so, will remain on staff to coach the tight ends. However, unless he is invited to stay on in a lesser role, it would appear his tenure with the Huskers will come to an end following the 2024 season.

Per Mitch Sherman of The Athletic, Rhule has wants Holgorsen to stay on and assume full offensive coordinator duties for the 2025 season, assuming this isn’t already the case.
