Bray was hired as the linebackers coach at Oregon State, his alma mater, on Monday.
Bray, of course, coached linebackers here for Riley's three-year tenure as head coach and the pair was at OSU together for three seasons before that.
Riley is now the assistant head coach under new boss Jonathan Smith, though as of last week it was still unclear what position the former Nebraska head coach would handle in Corvallis.
When Riley was fired from NU on Nov. 25, athletic director Bill Moos made Bray the interim head coach for a week while he solidified negotiations with Scott Frost.
