Vanessa Bouvet fired a one-under-par 71 on Tuesday to surge to a top-10 finish and lead the Nebraska women's golf team at The Molly Collegiate in Seaside, Calif.
Bouvet, a senior from Brunei, produced her best round of the season on the par-72, 6,131-yard layout of the Bayonet Golf Course to finish with a three-round total of 222 (78-73-71) by slashing her scores in each successive round. The took 10th overall in a strong 83-player field.
Bouvet's performance helped Nebraska secure a seventh-place finish in a talent-laden 14-team field, as the Huskers produced a three-round team score of 916 (307-308-301).
