Fans and followers of Nebraska football have wondered for weeks if the uncertainty shrouding the program’s future would have an impact on recruiting.
Consensus four-star defensive back and top recruit Brendan Radley-Hiles announced his decommitment from the program Tuesday night via Twitter.
“This is the hardest, most hectic thing I’ve done in my life,” Radley-Hiles, known as “Bookie,” wrote. “I want to first off thank Coach (Mike) Riley, and his wife Mrs. Dee for welcoming me into the family with open arms the day I met them.”
The IMG Academy (Bradenton, Florida) star originally committed to the Huskers in mid-April on the eve of the program's annual Spring Game.
