Lincoln – Former Husker Julia Bond claimed her first professional title on Wednesday, beating a pair of former Husker bowlers on her way to the PWBA Hall of Fame Classic title.
Bond, a five-time Team USA member who was a four-time All-American (2015-18) and Most Outstanding Bowler at the 2015 NCAA Championships at Nebraska, won four matches in the stepladder finals en route to the title. In all, three of the top four finishers were former Nebraska bowlers.
"I'm extremely proud of myself and how far I've come," Bond told PWBA.com after her first title.
