Lincoln – Sophomore outfielder Ryan Boldt earned first-team Capital One Academic All-District 7 honors on Thursday from CoSIDA. The Red Wing, Minn., native is the first Husker baseball player to earn the award since 2011, when Cody Asche, Cory Burleson and Casey Hauptman were all honored.
Boldt has shined on the field and in the classroom for the Huskers in 2015. Boldt leads the Huskers in average (.352), hits (68) and runs (44). The NU leadoff hitter has displayed a great eye at the plate with 24 walks to 22 strikeouts, while he also leads the team with a .
