The potential blizzard bearing down on Lincoln has forced a change in the tip time for Saturday's basketball game between Nebraska and Purdue.
Pinnacle Bank Arena gates will now open at 11:30 a.m., which is 90 minutes prior to tipoff.
The city of Lincoln, along with most of eastern Nebraska, is under a blizzard warning starting at noon Saturday and lasting until 3 a.m. Sunday.
The forecast calls for 4-7 inches of wet snow in Lincoln, likely preceded by freezing rain. The city has issued a snow emergency beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, meaning parking is banned on all snow routes, bus and school routes and other arterial streets.
