That’s the message from Mark Manning as Nebraska travels to Minneapolis for the Big Ten wrestling championships on Saturday and Sunday.
No Huskers are favored to win their respective weight classes, so there are no real expectations for NU as it heads to the University of Minnesota’s Williams Arena.
“Right now, it’s just about getting our guys in the best shape to compete,” said Manning, Nebraska's coach. “That’s what they do best, so that’s our focus.”
Tyler Berger is the No. 2 seed at 157 pounds, the highest-seeded Nebraska wrestler, behind Penn State’s Jason Nolf.
Nolf is a two-time national champion and has beaten Berger in all four career matchups.
