In a perfect world, the Nebraska Cornhuskers would be in the top three of the current Big Ten rankings. They would also have an undefeated record. Instead, the Huskers are (1-2), and in the bottom half of the conference rankings.
Due to Nebraska’s second loss on the last play of the game, the Huskers enter the final weekend of September, needing a win to reach .500 on the season. If they aren’t careful, Nebraska could let the season slip away. At that point, the Big Ten rankings would be the least of Nebraska’s worries. There’s but so many close encounters one team can take before you start to feel snake bitten.
