Big Ten Media Day notes: Webster takes in the sights while in D.C.

WASHINGTON — While Tai Webster has traveled across the world, the Big Ten Media Day offered him his first chance to see Washington, D.C.

The New Zealand native went to the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Wednesday along with other athletes invited to the event.

“It was an awesome experience,” he said. “I never really realized the impact that he had on society. I'm thankful for what he did – he dedicated his life to civil rights … The size of the statues, it's just real powerful stuff to be around.”
