The Nebraska men's tennis team is set to compete at the ITA Central Region Championships at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Okla. from Oct. 24-28. The competition will feature players from 16 teams in the Central Region. The tournament format is a 128-player singles draw and a 64-team doubles draw.
In last year's regionals, senior Chris Dean, sophomore William Gleason and sophomore Victor Moreno Lozano all saw action. Lozano reached the round of 32 as a freshman, while Dean and Gleason made it to the round of 64.
The three aforementioned Huskers will reprise their roles at this year's regionals, joining junior Patrick Cacciatore and the four-man freshman class of Andre Saleh, Shunya Maruyama, Albert Sprlak-Puk and Chester Wickwire in singles play.
