FRANCIS GARDLER, JOURNAL STARNebraska won the first game of a series for just the third time all season and the first time since March 30 with a 9-5 victory over Nevada Thursday night at Haymarket Park.
The Huskers (18-22) scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to turn a 4-3 deficit into a 9-4 lead. Three Nevada pitchers combined to walk four Husker batters in the frame, including two with the bases loaded.
