Nebraska's Tyler Berger capped his junior season with a third-pace finish at the NCAA Championships on Saturday in Cleveland.
Meanwhile, Taylor Venz recorded the highest finish by a Husker freshman since 1999 with a fourth-place showing.
Berger defeated Iowa's Michael Kemerer at 157 pounds after Kemmerer could not finish (injury) 1 minute, 36 seconds into the match. Berger, who became Nebraska's 29th multi-time All-American, finished his season 28-9.
Berger advanced to the third-place match after avenging an earlier loss this season to Ohio State's Micah Jordan. On Saturday, Berger defeated Jordan 4-2 in the first sudden death during the consolation semifinals.
