Dalano Banton was a second-round by by Toronto in the NBA Draft
Delano Banton became the second Husker basketball player selected in the past three years, as he was a second-round selection during Thursday's NBA Draft at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Banton was taken with the No. 46 pick by his hometown Toronto Raptors.
A 6-foot-9 guard from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Banton became the 28th Husker drafted in program history and the first in Fred Hoiberg's two seasons at Nebraska. Banton becomes the seventh Husker basketball player selected in the first two rounds of the NBA Draft, joining Marvin Stewart (2nd, 1971), Rich King (1st, 1991), Eric Piatkowski (1st, 1994), Tyronn Lue (1st, 1998), Venson Hamilton (2nd, 1999) and Isaiah Roby (2nd, 2019).
