Nebraska fans have quickly learned that Ryan Held is a leave-no-stone-unturned kind of guy on the recruiting trail.
That’s how the Husker running backs coach came to learn about Jalan Robinson, an under-the-radar offensive tackle at Lawrence Free World High in Lawrence, Kansas.
By 8:30 p.m., Nebraska had offered Robinson and by Thursday afternoon, Robinson and Stroh had already wrapped up an unofficial visit to Lincoln, 30-minute, between-flights meeting with head coach Scott Frost and all. Robinson heads to Mississippi State this weekend — the final for official visits before a dead period begins Sunday night and National Signing Day arrives Wednesday — and will know where he’s playing college football by early next week.
