"If you would have told me three weeks ago I would have been up here with people in my face," Isaac Armstrong said. "I would have thought you were crazy."
It's been a crazy ride for the junior from Lincoln Southwest, who was called on to replace Caleb Lightbourn in the second quarter at Wisconsin, then won the job after the first two kicks of his college career and started Saturday at Northwestern.
This weekend, he'll make his first start at punter in front of the home fans.
"I can't tell you how many Saturdays I've spent in this place growing up, and I've seen a lot of pretty special things happen in this stadium," Armstrong said.
