Amid questions about job security, Miles says program is on the right track

Tim Miles sat down for his pregame news conference Wednesday, and unprompted, addressed his job security and future as the Nebraska men's basketball coach.

"Over the last weeks there's been plenty of questions about my longevity at Nebraska," Miles said. "One, I want to be forceful that I want to be the coach here. I believe Shawn (Eichorst, NU athletic director) wants me to be the coach here. I believe Marc (Boehm, NU executive associate athletic director overseeing basketball) does."

Noise about Miles' job security has risen in recent weeks as the Huskers (12-14, 6-8 Big Ten) went through a stretch of eight losses in nine games before winning their two most recent contests.
