Nebraska secondary coach Travis Fisher on Tuesday reeled off names of players who could play nickel this season in a sub-package.
The first player Fisher mentioned: JoJo Domann, a sophomore who missed all of last season and all of spring with a knee injury.
“He’s come along and helped us out a lot,” the coach said. “He’s showing some upside. He can definitely play in the back end.”
Fisher likes the 6-foot-1, 225-pound Domann’s versatility. The coach didn’t know exactly what to expect from Domann because he hadn’t seen him practice until preseason camp began earlier this month.
