You can choose your theory of how Nebraska, one of three bowl teams with a losing record, spotted 8-4 UCLA a two-touchdown lead before scoring 30 consecutive points Saturday night in a 37-29 win in the Foster Farms Bowl. There is the tried-and-true theory of motivation: Nebraska saw the game as an opportunity for redemption, while UCLA saw it as the reason it couldn't spend Christmas at home. There's also the Mike Riley Theory -- his Oregon State teams had a knack for beating teams they shouldn't (see USC during the Pete Carroll era). I'm leaning toward the former, but whatever the reason, the Huskers made their offseason more palatable.
