University of Houston Quarterback D’Eriq King has entered the transfer portal after taking a redshirt for his senior season. As of yet, King doesn’t have any visits lined up, but several schools will be interested in his services as he’s clearly the best grad transfer QB on the transfer market. D’Eriq King announced he would redshirt for his senior season at Houston after the Cougars got off to a 1-3 start. With the new NCAA Redshirt rule, you can play up to 4 games in a season and redshirt if you haven't yet. At the time, King said his plan was to return to Houston in 2020 and play his senior season then, but now he’s entered the transfer portal and will likely transfer to another program.
College Football programs are constantly looking for quarterbacks, and the market for D’Eriq King will be a major one. Oklahoma football has a history with transfer QBs under Lincoln Riley. Schools like Miami, Florida State and Tennessee have been searching for a good QB for awhile. LSU football needs to replace Joe Burrow. Could King head to LSU to play his senior season?
