LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Wichita State says tests on injured forward Anton Grady show no signs of spinal cord trauma stemming from a collision in a game Friday that left him motionless on the court.
The school said Saturday that a neurosurgeon reviewed an MRI and that doctors believe Grady sustained a spinal cord concussion. The doctors anticipate that his motor function and strength will return.
Grady was injured in Friday's 64-60 loss to Alabama at the AdvoCare Invitational, when he turned and started to run from the offensive zone to play defense and made chin-first contact with a Crimson Tide player.
