DALLAS — LSU looked terrible, like many thought it might, just how we expected, exactly what we all predicted.
In this showdown with No. 8 Miami, the Tigers' offense bumbled through its first few possessions, because of course it did: two dropped passes, three yellow hankies, one near-costly fumble and, above all, the use of three timeouts in the first 12 minutes of the football game (albeit one was used on defense, but still). By the end of the first quarter, LSU had used the same number of timeouts (two) as it had rushing yards (two).
Who was surprised by this?
