No. 14 Michigan escaped Indiana with a 48-41 victory in double-overtime. The Wolverines sent the game into overtime on a touchdown pass from Jake Rudock to Jehu Chesson, and then locked up the win by batting down a fourth-down throw from Indiana’s Nate Sudfeld in the second extra session.
The Wolverines took a 48-41 lead in that second overtime on a scoring toss from Rudock to Amara Darboh. Indiana drove down to the two-yard line, where it faced fourth-and-goal. Sudfeld’s pass intended for wide receiver Mitchell Paige was broken up by Delano Hill.

Amazingly, Sudfeld’s final incompletion was the first pass Indiana had thrown since its second-to-last offensive possession during regulation.
